Juventus to hold Dybala talks

Juventus are set to hold talks with Paulo Dybala over his future in the coming days, according to club director Federico Cherubini, who says meetings are set to take place with every player whose contract runs out at the end of June this year. Fabrizio Romano adds that among those, Juan Cuadrado is a priority along with Dybala.

Having started his career at Instituto AC in Argentina, Dybala joined Juventus in 2015 after three years with US Palermo, with the Old Lady reportedly paying over €40 million for his services. However, the Argentina international hasn t exactly lived up to expectations. His talents and skills on the ball are certainly beyond question, but injuries and understandable inconsistencies have hindered his efforts to reach the highest bracket of football play…

Who are the next batch of European superstars that could be following Lionel Messi to Inter Miami?

While it might be Saudi Arabia’s blockbuster takeover attempt that has stolen most of the headlines this summer, the Middle Eastern giants are not the only emerging market that have made a seismic statement in 2023.

Watching Inter Miami stun the football world last month and complete one of the most historic swoops of the modern-era as they welcomed seven-time Ballon d’Or winner to the United States, the Herons are embarking on a superstar makeover.

Along with announcing the arrival of Messi last month, fellow former Barcelona icon Sergio Busquets has also confirmed that he is the latest European giant that will be heading to Miami this summer.

Ancelotti expecting ´complete player´ Alaba to flourish at Real Madrid

Carlo Ancelotti is glad to have reunited with David Alaba at Real Madrid and has backed the complete player to thrive in whatever position he is used in.

Ancelotti knows all about Alaba s adaptability, having previously worked together for one full season at Bayern, and is looking forward to getting the most out of the 10-time Bundesliga champion.

Alaba is a complete player, with a lot of quality and tactically intelligent in defence, the coach told…

Leicester City 1-0 Southampton: Iheanacho strikes to end 52-year FA Cup final wait for Foxes

Leicester City reached the FA Cup final for the first time since 1969 as Kelechi Iheanacho continued his sensational form to secure a 1-0 win over Southampton.

Iheanacho had scored more FA Cup goals (13) heading into Sunday s contest at Wembley – which was played in front of a small crowd – than any other player since the start of 2015-16, and it was his second-half strike which proved decisive.

It gave the Foxes their first win at the new Wembley in four attempts and Brendan Rodgers side will now chase a second when they face Chelsea in next month s showdown.

Belgium v Portugal: Ronaldo a goal away from beating world record but holders face major challenge

All eyes will be on Cristiano Ronaldo again on Sunday as he looks to become the outright world-record holder for international goals, though being out of the focus will do Portugal s opponents Belgium no harm.

The Juventus star tied Ali Daei s long-standing record of 109 goals with a pair of penalties in Portugal s thrilling 2-2 draw with France, the result ensuring the Selecao reached the knockout phase.

One more will put Ronaldo out in front, while he may also have designs on chasing down Michel Platini s record for the most goals scored in a single European Championship (nine in Euro 84).

But despite Ronaldo s five goals thus far, it has been by no means plain sailing for Portugal, whose four points was the poorest group-stage haul for a defending European cha…

Hazard: Belgium need to win a trophy to justify ´Golden Generation´ tag

Eden Hazard accepts Belgium must lift a major trophy if they are to justify the Golden Generation label they have carried for almost a decade.

Belgium boast a squad of players that represent some of Europe s biggest clubs, including the likes of Hazard, Romelu Lukaku, Kevin De Bruyne and Thibaut Courtois.

The Red Devils have ended five of the past seven years at the top of the FIFA rankings, yet they have repeatedly struggled to make an impact at tournaments.

They were eliminated at the quarter-final stage of the past two European Championships and also exited at that point in the 2014 World Cup.

Belgium did go one better by reaching the semi-finals of Russia 2018, where they were beaten by France, and Hazard says the aim in the Qatar World Cup is to go a…

I will sleep better – Pep Guardiola calls Jurgen Klopp ‘best rival of my career’
